zabbix-server

Zabbix monitoring server (zabbix-server + zabbix-web-nginx-pgsql) with a dedicated postgres backend, deployed via podman-compose.

Install notes

  • The postgres, zabbix-server and web frontend containers share a compose-private network not published to the host, so the container-to-container postgres credentials are fixed constants rather than generated secrets (nothing outside the container network can reach postgres).
  • First boot creates the zabbix database/user via dbsetup.sh, run once by the postgres image's docker-entrypoint-initdb.d mechanism.
  • Log in to the web frontend with Zabbix's own default admin credentials (see upstream docs below) and change them from within the app.
